XL Touring Video and Motley Crue do Cruefest 2008

On April 15, 2008, a press conference was hosted by Motley Crue, announcing the start of their Crue Fest tour, which kicks off July 1, 2008 and wraps up the first leg on August 31, 2008. This tour is expected to extend into 2009. Along with Motley Crue, the “Crue Fest” will feature Papa Roach, Buckcherry, SIXX-AM, and Trapt.

In addition to working on Tom Petty & The Heartbreaker’s Super Bowl appearance, XL Touring Video is also the video contractor on the Tom Petty & The Heartbreaker’s 2008 North American Summer Tour, which kicked off the end of May in MI, and wraps up August 29th in Woodlands, TX.

XLTV supplies Foo Fighters monumental UK stadium shows

After being on tour for 6 months, Foo Fighters performed 3 UK stadium shows. The 86k capacity Wembley Arena sold out immediately for June 6th & 7th and proved to be their biggest shows ever. The City of Manchester date of June 2nd was added to accommodate the demand of the U.K. fans and was another full house, which like the Wembley Shows sold out in minutes. Over 230,000 happy fans in less than 3 days.

XL Video supplies LED equipment for Euro 2008 ‘fan fests’

During the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland, XL Video supplied giant screens for a variety of open air events. In all, some 900 square metres of LED material in trucks and modular walls was used. Over 30 video walls were realized in this way in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
